Spiritual AccompanimentOne of the greatest gifts we have within our Christian communities is one another!
Jesus never intended for us to travel the road of faith alone. There are many ways we can, and should, contribute to one another's growth in Christ. One such way is spiritual accompaniment where we seek out the support of a fellow Christian to walk with us. In such a relationship we discover how the rich depths of our faith can be lived in the everyday of our lives. Spiritual accompaniment is not counselling. It is walking together, listening and paying attention to the scriptures and one another, so that we become more fully aware of the still small voice of God. In Cleopas we provide the ministry of spiritual accompaniment, whereby companionship on the journey is offered through a one on one meeting on a fortnightly, or monthly basis. What people say about Spiritual Accompaniment...Leighton Ford - President of Leighton Ford Ministries "I have known Roz Stirling and her excellent ministry in Ireland for many years. Her current call through Cleopas is to provide safe times, places, and friends which offers rest and restoration. Pure busyness is one of the most distracting challenges for all of us. We need times to slow down and listen for the quiet voice of God. The focus of spiritual accompaniment is to help people pay attention to what God is doing in their lives and to respond. As part of her work Roz offers this vital companionship. I encourage you to take up the opportunity of this 'one and one' support through her ministry. |
